Database Administrator

Minimum Education:: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
Minimum/General Experience:: 2 years or equivalent of progressive general experience in the field of information technology including enterprise architecture planning, software engineering, or analysis work.
Functional Responsibility:: Writes codes for database access, modifications, and constructions including stored procedures. Performs Client Server database administration duties to include change control configuration management, monitoring, and maintenance. Performs capacity planning and performance monitoring and tuning for legacy databases. Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distribution data issues. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
