Senior Scientist

Minimum Education:: Masters degree from an accredited college or university.
Minimum/General Experience:: This position requires 10 years of highly specialized experience related to information technology. Recipients of a Doctorate degree from an accredited university in a technical discipline with 8 years-specialized experience shall also qualify for this classification. At least 3 years of this experience must be in Government programs.
Functional Responsibility:: Must be able to work without direct supervision on technical tasks related to information technology. Uses direction from Program management to plan technical tasks, develop project-level schedules and to perform technical functions using computers or other technical tools. May be called upon to train or oversee the day-to-day activities of one or more junior-level individuals working on information technology tasks. Has a solid analytical grasp of one or more technology areas related to information technology.
