IMASE Common Terrain Geodatabase
The Common Terrain Geodatabase (CTG) is the terrain component of the Intelligence Modeling and Simulation for Evaluation (IMASE) Common Data Store (ICDS). It is designed to be a central repository for terrain data to support the operations of IMASE scenario generation and simulation software. By maintaining terrain data in a central repository, all users will receive the benefit of the most accurate and up-to-date information.
Bevilacqua will provide the CTG with the following features:
- The Common Terrain Geodatabase will use National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) geo-spatial information products, where available, to support IMASE operations.
- The formats of the datasets to be imported into the CTG include:
- CADRG (Compressed Arc Digitized Raster Graphic)
- DTED (Digital Terrain Elevation Data)
- VMAP (Vector Map)
- SHP (ESRI Shape File)
- A catalog of all NGA data sets used in the IMASE environment. The catalog will identify all items loaded.
- Authorized personnel will be able to visually inspect and fix data anomalies in the ArcEditor environment.
- The CTG will provide automated tools to assist in data validation.
- The CTG will provide the capability to add, modify, or remove features.
