Intelligent Data Mining
Bevilacqua has entered into a license agreement with the developer of an ontological database tool to market it to selected agencies and organizations. This tool will automatically build its own ontology from an incoming unstructured text stream, constructing meta-knowledge out of events. This product has a multilingual capability and is a great fit for applications where large unstructured data streams must be "mined" for knowledge.
To date, Bevilacqua has used this tool along with our expertise in artificial intelligence to develop several rapid prototype, proof of concept demonstrations in the areas of intelligence gathering and terrorism prevention:

- Scenario Cognitive Object Reasoning Engine (SCORE)
This effort utilized our CORE technology to demonstrate how artificial intelligence methods could be used to predict the likelihood of a terrorist attack based on a series of separate events. Intelligence gathering from the various data sources is dependent on the potential scenarios as defined by a Subject Matter Expert. Therefore, this tool has a broad variety of applications for many government organizations and law enforcement agencies.

This effort demonstrated how an ontological database could be used to collect data from the internet and filter it for intelligence by automatically generating links between the various disparate data sources. This technology offers tremendous advantages for a number of terrorism and anti-drug intelligence gathering activities.
