F/A-18 Sense & Respond Module
The Sense and Respond concept envisioned by the Department of Defense is an effort to minimize critical vulnerabilities in the joint forces by ensuring that supplies and material are delivered in a timely manner to the proper units. This concept is being implemented by the F/A-18 Aircraft Project Office and the Office of the Secretary of Defense for the logistics operations of the Navy's F/A-18 fleet of fighter jets. The goal is to demonstrate an interactive, automated supply chain by integrating all logistics and maintenance components, from the aircraft down to the industrial suppliers, to minimize down time and maximize the fighting force.
Bevilacqua has teamed with the University of Maryland to complete requirements for this demonstration. Our role is to develop the Knowledge Portal to the Navy legacy and F/A-18 databases at Pax River, and to provide the interface among the multiple data sources.
